Beliefs About Drinking: Online Study

This study investigates the association between social anxiety and patterns of drinking as well as beliefs about alcohol, impulsivity, sexual attitudes, self-efficacy and social skills among university women and men. You will receive 1 Participant Pool credit as compensation upon completion of the study.

Beliefs About Marijuana Use: Online Study

The purpose of this study is to investigate predictors of marijuana use among university students. To meet this goal, the study investigates marijuana use and beliefs (including beliefs about others’ marijuana use and approval), social anxiety, impulsivity, alcohol use and beliefs, and emotionality (e.g., how one manages distress and strong negative emotions). You will receive 1 Participant Pool credit upon completion of the study.

Anishinabe Youth Wellness Study

This study investigates how participation in culture may impact wellbeing since COVID-19 social distancing measures were put in place. Questions explore cultural connection and participation, health-related behaviours, lifestyle, depression, anxiety, substance use, perceived support, and social activities.

Social Norms and Undergraduate Drinking

The purpose of this study is to investigate alcohol use among young adults during their transition into university. Questions explore alcohol and substance use, perceptions of others’ beliefs about alcohol, stress, anxiety, social activities, and lifestyle.

The Young Adult and Alcohol Research Laboratory was founded in 2009. Our research examines alcohol risk and resilience.
